Every time I connect to the internet my fire wall tells me
that WnCSM Server Module is attemting to connect and
recommends I block it. Can anyone tell me what this is and
what it's purpose is. I don't see any adverse affects from
blocking it and would like to turn it off if any one can
advise me on this.

Thanks

According to this site it is used by AT&T WorldNet. Does that sound familiar to
your installation? In general when you find unknown applications/processes, your best
bet is to search http://Google.com and something like
http://www.symantec.com/search/ for anything you think may be malicious. In addition
to virus/trojan scans, periodically scan for adware/spyware/malware with something
like Spybot Search and Destroy. One you identify an application, you might try
Control Panel add/remove programs to see if you can remove it there. --- Steve
