"Finishing current message" pop-up freezes all mail.

Hello!
I've seen the like problem here: I'd deactivated some of the anti-virus
filters and dumped most of the folders to an export on disk, and removed
update KB905866 as per www.vistax64.com/tutorials/'s link in one of the
threads below. Still, the send/receive functions are all locked by the
pop-up. It had been very slow with a download, and I'd clicked 'stop,' but
the "finishing current message" has continued for about 24 hours, although
the progress bar is filled. There are no error messages. I would prefer to
repair this to upgrading to Live mail. It's been pretty reliable and trusty
so far.

With WM closed, Visit the server site of your ISP, Log in and remove the
offending message.
 
I'd "helpful-ed" your reply, because I'm glad you'd spent the attention on
me; this had actually cleared up as if by miracle, or the removals of that
update, and one other one mentioned in the link, had really done the trick.
I can't complain, so "viva Vista!"
