finding Wsfcfiles.dll (Creative Live 5.1 problem)

Hi,

I have a creative SB Live 5.1, which has some known trouble with WinXP.
My problems were solved by the updates, until recently when I re-installed
some drivers from Microsoft windows update site (a very bad idea!!).

I have now disabled my sound card because my computer would keep shutting
down when some sounds are played!!!

I know of: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821995

The thing is, I already have SP2 installed, and when I try to re-install it
it doesn't seem to change anything. I couldn't find Wsfcfiles.dll anywhere,
and it seems there is no download available for this fix!

Can anyone help with with that?

Try removing all the drivers for the SBLive sound card and reinstalling
those from Creative instead of Microsoft.
 
Hi Robert,

I've done that already, I have the latest driver from Creative, the problem
is some incompatibility with windows that needs to be fixed through the
replacement of some windows files (see hotfix from microsoft I was talking
about in my post).

I can't get these files :/
