The home page for WinVn has download links, but the W95 link and Windows
links are dead.

In a Google search, every site links back to the home page, dead links.

The latest version is 0.99.9.

A working download link for 0.99.9 for W95?

It may work for you, for some reason, it's not working for me.

I'm getting "Network error, connection reset by peer" ??

An updated version of WinVn (WinVN 0.99.12n) can be found at

1. WinVn has yEnc (yEncode) decode support. (Encode support is currently
disabled.) Full list of changes: changes.txt
2. (Previous fixes) WinVn now supports > 65K newsgroups. Long newsgroups do
not crash WinVn. Better decoding. Proportional scrollbars in 32bit
version.
3. 2004-04-08 Fix decode error introduced in last version.
4. 2004-03-15 Added NNTP-Posting Host filter, multisize toolbar, Download
complete sound, Explorer-style file browser dialogs etc.
5. 2003-07-21 Added experimental sort by filename.
6. 2000-12-06 Subject sorting now sorts using numerical value order.
7. 2000-12-06 Ability to set default sorting under Article List Preferences.
8. 2000-11-27 Added true kill file operation which removes articles from list
9. 2000-11-27 Added pattern match filter - allows more powerful filters
10. Path names are stripped from MIME B64 downloads
11. 2000-01-22 Restored TAB operation in compose window; Fixes for Lyris
servers; Correct default dir for WinVn.ini on Win98+
12. 2000-01-07 Fixed Keep-Alive interval; Corrected decoding sequence number
bug; Included correct help files

13. Additional fixes by Ray Dunn Fixed major bug tracking crossposted articles
in other groups.
14. Added multi-level sorting to Subject, Author & Date
15. Catch-Up and Exit marks all articles are read, even those not retrieved.
16. When a window closes, set focus to the next logical window

17. Additional fixes from Peter Heirich's 0.99.10 beta4 [de] version Added
Keep-Alive timer. See Communications Setup dialog.
18. Added support for Mouse Wheel mouse.
