I have just changed ink cartridges in the HP 3820 that I
am using with this Dell system, running XP and I cannot
find the toolbox for the printer in order to do an
allignment. How do I find this? On Win98 it was
just 'there' when I needed it. Is it hidden in XP or what?
I have tried searches and cannot even locate it on the C
drive or anywhere yet the printer is working fine. The
toolbox 'must' be there somewhere!??

control panel
printer
printer name
printer button
properties
pick on various tabs.

alos check under 'help' in printer window.

Try looking in the control panel under printers.

Hi;
I also have an HP 3820 and am running XP so this may help.
First look in the lower right hand corner in the tool tray to see if you
have an Icon for the Printer. If so right click on it and select Open the
Printer Assistant. Then open Tools and Updates -> Printer
Maintenance->Calibrate printer.

If you don't have the Icon go to Start-> Programs-> Select either Hewlett
Packard or HP DeskJet ( Which ever entry you may have). Look for and select
the HP Printer Assistant then go to Tools and Updates->Printer Maintenance->
Calibrate printer.

I hope this helps.
