Finding the corruption

Is it possible for a music file to be playable but not burnable? Otherwise
there is no way to find it. You could burn files individually, to test them,
which would take months; even so it wouldn't help because any file may have
become corrupted since you last played it. This is sending lots of CD's to
the landfill.

Yes - if information in the file tags is not readable by WMP. For
instance WMP has ripped a lot of files and then puts a 0:00 length
header in the title (usually a random track here or there on an
otherwise problem-free album). I can still play them, but it won't let
me burn them. I have to either try re-ripping the file or going to
another program to repair the tag information.
Otherwise there is no way to find it.

It? The music file?? What?

The corrupted file which causes the waste of an entire disc.
