Hi,

I have published a network share on AD. Now, from an XP
pro box I am trying to find it. How? Where is the browse
or search facility?
Seraching on Technet I found the following article:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?
url=/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/reskit/prde_ffs_stbj.asp
Where is the search assistant on Xp, is the option on the
start menu? That hasn't got a find box, as it says on the
article.
Isn't there an easier way for users to find resources
published on the network?

Thanks

Sorry, I don't seem to find the search facility under my
network places. I addittion to that I am going to disable
my users from browsing the network (via gpo) therefore the
need of finding published shares.

Can you explain full path.

Thanks.

'My Network Places' on a Domain member should
have a blue band down the left, with 3 collapsable headings:

Network Tasks
Add a Network Place
View Network Connections
Search Active Directory

Other Places
Blah Blah

Details
Blah Blah

What does yours have?
