Hi..

I have 2 subnets, 212.x.x.x (external) and 192.x.x.x (internal) in the same
domain. My dhcp and dns server is on the 212.x.x.x subnet.

How can I configure my DNS so I can se the 192.x.x.x subnet from a computer
running on the 212.x.x.x subnet?

I have added booth subnets as "Reverse Lookup Zones", but no success.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Alex

What do you mean by "see"? If you mean in the "Network Neighbourhood" or
"net view" from a commandprompt then I think you've got to use WINS, or
configure routers to allow broadcasts between subnets, and make sure server
service is running on computers, and computer browser is running on atleast
one computer. I don't think DNS will help you there.

Sorry, by "see" I mean that you can reach the 192.x.x.x subnet from a comp
in the 212.x.x.x subnet.

The only way I can do that now is to add a 192.x.x.x adress, so I use booth
a 212.x.x.x-adress and a 192.x.x.x-adress on the same comp. Then I can reach
both subnets from that comp..

Thanks,
Alex

okey, what device sits between the subnets? a router? You need to make sure
that the clients in each subnet has the local router as their default
gateway, and make sure that the routing tables on the router(s) are
configured to forward traffic between the subnets.
