Hi. I have an AMD Duron 750 processor and am running Win2K.
Is it possible to find out the manufacturer of on-board
chips of the M/B so i can find the drivers. If needed,
how do I find the make of M/B. I currently need a driver
for the Audio.
Im sure this is a problem that may occur quite often.
Thanks.

I've found installing Aida32
http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php
invaluable in discovering the hardware in a machine

often times it is as simple as looking at the motherboard and identifying
each chip that way, most chips I've seen have numbers or manufacturers name,
the motherboard part number is somewhere on the motherboard, you just have
to look at it, once you have that you can download the motherboard manual
which should give a map of what is where

Isn't it really the Chipset manufacturer and associated drivers that he's
looking for... i.e.: the "computer" is essentially the "chipset"... no?
