Finding most recent record

When I am using find to locate a record in a recordset,
how do I find the last record for a particular ID? For
example: I am looking for ptID 5 and they have had various
inpatient stays. How do I find the most recent stay. I
have date of admission and date of discharge fields to
check.

If you just want the last date, DMax() will retrieve it.
