Is there a solution to find the MAC address of a pocket PC device ?

I was looking for a software protection system, MAC looks most universal.
(i guess othter tricks like PPC serial number are too much bound to the
brand/ppc model )

MAC address is specific to the network card. What if a device doesn't have
netwrok card?

Or, for units without built-in networking, if the user utilizes multiple
cards (i.e., separate 802.11a and 802.11b cards)...

My application is a network application ,so the hardware will have
networking ,either wlan or through GPRS like the qtek2020
as far as i know any adapter has a MAC address.

the PPP adapter for the modem will have one ,(at least thats what i see on a
normal desktop PC)

The OpenNETCF.Net namespace should allow you to retrieve the MAC address for
any adapter which has one. You can get the SDF from www.opennetcf.org and
you'll find it there.
