It used to be so easy to find a folder........now it is like looking for a
needle in a haystack........are some of these folders "hidden"? I tried
using the "search" on the start menu.......which brings up everything under
the sun except what folder you are looking for.......what is this search
thing good for? I must be overlooking something.......it should be easier to
find things and use this os......but it is not turning out to be this
way.......I used to be able to just click on Move or Copy and find the folder
I want to move it to and the computer did it.......now I cant find
anything............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I go to user/ and my name/
I cant find application data file anywhere........what is the path to it? I
have all this stuff on my external hardrive to move to my new
computer.........but nothing is the same now.......stationery has moved and I
cant find it......application data is not listed under "user".......

Control Panel | Folder Options | View tab
Select show all files
uncheck hide file extensions for known file types.
Apply then OK

Files will now be visible.

Stationery is where it always was, Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Stationery

What folders are you looking for and tryin to copy?

Some files and folders won't be in an Application Data folder but an AppData
folder instead.

There is stationery in the same place it always was and the socalled path is
still the same in the registry, but WinMail is now using the Stationery
directory within the message store.

They sprung that on us in a late build in the beta.

Create a new message with stationery and then look at the Base href in the
source code and it will tell you the stationery directory location it is
using.
