OK,
I'm using WORD 2003. I have a folder with all my WORD documents. I am
trying to perform a search to find a file that has a specific word in the
file name or in the text of the document. I know I have files that match
both these search criteria but everytime I'm in WORD and perform a find, it
returns no files. I've tried all the setting I can think of, read the help
file on searching etc but to no avail. Ive tried searching on all file in
all directories, all WORD documents only and also in the specific folder I
know that the files exist in.

Any thoughts on what's going on before I totally loose it if I havn't
already.

Thanks

JR

Personally I find Windows Search performs better than Word's search
functionality which IMHO has declined with each version.

Plus you can save Windows Search criteria for reuse. Once you have
your search results you can use File/Save Search to save the search
options. I have several created for the common searches I use.
