WeI've been playing around with Windows 2003 group policies and Terminal
Services . Don't know how many GPOs we all created but we were all done.
Note: it's not a catastrophe if we messed up. This is a test server anyway.
In any event, now that everyone has supposedly cleaned up their playing
around, when we now login to the test server....any user login automatically
launches Adobe Acrobat Reader. when we close it, the Term Server session
closes down and logs off. Actually, this may be a good learning experience
to troubleshoot. But, where do we start to find out what the problem is.
Would appreciate some help.

You don't know? That means you didn't document.

A good time to "practice" documenting.

Well, normally you would start by looking back on the documentation of what
was done. But I guess you can start by downloading the Group Policy
Management tool. It is a download the replaces the original GPO maintainence
interface.

Then you may have to create another "lab" DC that is "pure" and
untouched,..load the Tool on it as well. You can compare the two machines
to see what is different within the Default Policies. As a rule the
"Default" Policies should never be touched so they always remain "original".
Make your changes in "New" policies that you create that over-rule the
Defaults. When done properly the Domain can be "put back to normal" by
unlinking the New policies which allow the original Defaults to take over.
You don't delete the Policies, you just unlink them until you know for sure
what the results will be.
