Find programs running in background

How do I find out what programs are running in the
background. I try to start my DVD recording program and
it keeps coming up saying that another application is
using the video overlay. I don't see anything running,
so it has got to be active in the background.I have
already tried rebooting, so it must be something that is
automatically loading.

What does Task Manager say. All programs running should
show there.

It doesn't show that any are running.

i don't know what is on your system, but look at the top
few app running, you can stop one at a time to see what
is the conflict. ya might wanta get spybot and adware and
run them.

You also need to look on the [Processes] tab.
