I have Outlook 2002. The "Find" feature in contacts used
to perform fine. This last week, however, when I click
on "Find" it doesn't find my contacts. It seems like it
performs a search, then nothing happens. It is searching
the correct folder. Is there something in the search/find
feature I need to look at?

Not likely. What did you change? Is your Outlook Address Book configured
correctly to display your Contacts Folder?

So you are saying that I need to have an address book
configured in order for my contacts to work correctly?
Last week our IT dept. did an upgrade of Outlook. Could
that have something to do with it? When I try to open
my "Address Book" under Tools, it says

The address list could not be displayed. The contacts
folder associated with this address list could not be
opened; it may have been moved or deleted or you do not
have persmissions.

So do I need to have them reconfigure an address list?

Bingo.
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book. If it is not listed, back up one step
and add it. If it is, then click on Change. to make sure the Contacts
folder(s) you want to display are listed. You may need to enable the
Contacts Folder as an e-mail address book by R clicking the Folder >
Properties and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box.
Make sure you restart Outlook after making these changes.
