I have a large 60 slide presentation. How can I find the
sizes of the individual slides so that I can reduce or
compress the individual slide(s) that are large. Is there
something like Slide Properties similar to File
Properites. I use Powerpoint 2002. Thanks..

In PowerPoint 2002, there is an option to optimize all the pictures in a
presentation.

Left click on a picture and select format picture from the pop up menu.
Then on the 'Picture' tab, select compress.
Select 'Apply to all pictures in the document' and the rest of your options.

Click OK and let the program do the work.

I recommend saving the optimized file to a new filename, just in case.

Mac,

Sometimes as you press Page Down to go from slide to slide (in edit mode/normal slide view)...you can tell the "complex"
slides as they take the longest to be displayed.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific content management (showing
properties, such as "size" of a slide) capability that you are looking.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide better content management tools for finding, exporting, changing,
replacing, optimizing, deleting, etc. linked, embedded and native content
(without having to resort to workarounds VBA or 3rd party add-ins), don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please)to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
