Hi, What did it was simply introduce ammonia water, (10% ammonia),
into the cartridges, shaking, and running Nozzle Check utility.
Despite the fact that the Nozzle Checks still show dashed lines for
the red and blue, , the pics are great! At least I think so. I had to
repeat the ammonia water treatment three times before I was satisfied
with the pics.

Boy, I am good!

Mike (just kidding about the "good")

Hi Michael,

If you are still getting broken lines in the nozzle check, your printer
is still experiencing some clogged nozzles.

Although the ammonia water will work, the glycols in the ammoniated
window cleaner and the rubbing alcohol (with the Durabrite inks, in
particular) can help to better dissolve old ink. If you have not
cleaned under the heads yet, with the dampened high quality paper towel,
that may help to clear the nozzles. Since you have figured out how to
fill the carts with cleaning fluid, giving it even a few days to clear,
doing nozzle and cleaning tests every 8-12 hours may resolve the still
clogged nozzles.
