Hi Mucks,

Motherboard Asus 939 A8N5X
Athlon 64 3500
Rx600 Pro 256 PCI Graphic Card
1gig 3200 DDR Memory
Philips Dual DVD +/- Writer
Case with 350w
Floppy

This is what is promised for a total of £550.

What do you think?

Well the motherboard, processor, ram, optical drive, floppy drive seem okay.

Not sure about the Graphics Card, is it ATI / nVidia.

The PSU, i guess it would be fine but still you'd want a True 350W PSU rather than a cheap brand PSU.

Are they offering a Monitor with this? Seems a tad expensive...

Take it and run ... they really are taking you for a ride with the spec and price ... you got cought in their trap, not much you can really do cos you won't "fix" the other one.

Chris, if you have been following Mr Bishop's demise you will find he is stuck between the DEVIL & the Deep ... We know "they" are not giving good service or 'price' but not much Mr Bishop can do if he cannot get a total refund on his initial purchase. :(

We know here anyone of our knowledgable members could have gotten a better PC AND a better price ... it is indeed a shame Mr Bishop did not find our site first.

This sad saga is just costing more and more at every turn ...

Ah right, bit of a bugger then.

I hate companies like that which sell you junk... yeah take that spec and run then if you can't get your money back.

Will be good enough for most tasks ;)

just take the system and never buy anything from that company again because they are charging VERY HIGH prices. If you cant get a refund there is nothing you can really do so just take those specs. You should be very happy with that computer with most things anf it should run fine. Also what is the name of this company?

I prefer not to name names at the moment because I have not got the computer yet, they told me it would be ready soon and they said they will e-mail me when it is ready.

considering you dont have much choice take it and run as far away from them as you can and never go back

Hi MUCKS this is what I ended up with

Asus A8N5X 939 Motherboard

AMD ATHLON 3500 CPU

ATI RADION RX600 (256MB) PCI-EXPRESS

80GB Hard drive

I GIG DDR PC3200 RAM

Dual DVD +/- REWRITER

Cheap CASE with 350 WAT

Floppy drive

TOTAL £550-00

Well that is a lot better than the crap they gave you to start with ... :D

I hope that PSU is upto it ... if you have to, buy one from another PC shop, OK. :thumb:

So, have you fired it up and had a play?

:)

I got the PC at 6 o/c yesterday I was trying to get it all to work untill 12 o/c last night.
The Graphic card disc would not load it was corupt,I downloaded the drivers from the web.
The LAN socket would not work for my modem I am using it on usb at the moment to conect with SKYPE, the microphone would not work and it took me a while to configure this. But all seems OK at the moment.

Oh my giddy godfarthers ... I'll send "the boys" round and we'll sort 'em out.
