When installing Final IE7 released yesterday I receive the following
message: "Internet Explorer 7 is not supported on this operating system"

I am using RC2 5744

Anyone else have this result? This is a cool marketing move if its real :-)

Vista already includes IE7 so you don't install it seperately. Not a
marketing move, just not necessary as IE7 is already there.

Vista already has IE7, the IE7 available from M$ is for Windows XP
Service Pack 2 (SP2) or
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack
1 (SP1)

Hello. You don't need to install it on Vista, it won't be able to upgrade
IE7, you'll need to wait for Vista RTM.

The IE7 download is just for XP and 2003.

OK Got it!

Am using IE7 on Vista so I know it's there!

Bottom line....IE7 updates wait until Vista RTM.

Wonder if that includes Security fixes available between now and RTM?

Thanks....

Vista has its own version of IE 7.0. The ones released recently are for XP
and server etc.
