Hi All
Got a question here.
What kind of filter should i use on my canon ZR90 for indoor recording to
equalize the light , when shootng video around a room
and you pass a window with lots of light. My video gets blurry when i move
the DV cam across a window, like to bright, camera can't adjust that fast or
something.
Hope someone can help me out here.
Thanks a lot

If the camcorder has a feature to 'spot-meter' the lighting instead of using
the overall lighting, and you have the spot on the subject, that'll help.

And if you set the exposure manually instead of automatically..... again the
camcorder needs to have that feature.

Sounds like a good place to put a transition. This would allow you to split
the video (..or trim it) around the overexposure area and make it part of the
editing process.
A filter is not the answer. PapaJohn is right about using a setting other
than the auto setting. My Z65 does the same thing yours does inside around
bright light sources. That section of video just winds up in the mess on the
cutting room floor ;0)

Good luck

Hi All
Thanks for the info.
That is a part of video i would hate to cut out.
This was like Christmas dinner, everyone around the table.
I walked around the table to get face shot of everyone and some were siting
with back to window.
Guess i will have to live with that next time again if i want all.
Thanks again

Take it to VirtualDub and do levels adjustments and you might be able to
salvage the clips...

.... You can still split the video (without doing any trimming) and try
applying the 'less brightening' special effect to that section of film. If
it doesn't help, just ditch the effect and you're back to where you started.
