I have worked on Microsoft Office Professional 2000
and when you are in Excel they have a sort and filter
option. The sort puts it in alpha order. The filter
hides everything except what you specifically wanted to
look at. I asked for all info on company name or things
entered on a specific date. the only thing that showed up
was all those thins specifically asked for GOOD Thing.

I recently purchased a new computer and the softwar that
came with it was Microsoft Windows XP Home.

go to my spreadsheet, I type in all my information, and
then I try to find some function that will let me pull out
only information I am wanting to work with. Guess what I
don't thinkthey have such a function. I don't like the
limited toolbar. I want to color certain cells, but I
have to look for shade and then they have crappy colors.
I don't know if I'm going to like this software of XP. So
far it does not do a lot of fuctions easily or not at
all. Can you tell me if they do have a filter button?

MS Office Pro 2000 is an application suite.
It includes Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint.
XP Home is an operating system. Did you
install MS Office 2000 Pro on your new machine?

Are you using Excel, or some other spreadsheet? Perhaps Microsoft
Works came with your computer.

Be aware that neither Windows XP nor any other version of Windows
has ever come with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Works, or with any
other significant application software.
You *may* have a copy of Works that was bundled with your
computer, but if so it came with the computer, *not* with Windows
XP. Please don't blame Windows XP because you don't like the
application software that you happen to have.
