I want to create a filter that will check for either a particular
phrase in the recipient name or a particular phrase in the subject
line. It seems that it is only possible to connect two conditions
with an "and" in a filter, not with an "or". Is there a way to link
two conditions with an "or", so that I can get the filter described
above? Thanks!

You need to make two rules. Then OR is happening in a round-a-bout way..

I figured you might say that. Alas, I was trying to figure out some
way to avoid creating an extra rule. One of the other email programs
I have used (and which I would use if it would still work well on my
particular system) was much more flexible than Outlook in the creation
of rules, especially in the area of boolean combinations of
conditions.

With peace,
