I have a inbox that is shared by multiple staff members and we receive
e-mails from sales staff in 3 separate geographic regions (identified by
distribution lists). I want to know how I can filter the inbox so staff
members only see the e-mails from their designated region. Can someone please
help.

I'm assuming you don't want to write code to create this view (this is an
Outlook programming forum)?

Use the Views dialog to create filters for items in the current folder.

I've tried using Views to Filter on the basis of From then my Distribution
List but this didn't work. Am I missing something?

I put this under programming as didn't get a response under General. I don't
mind writing code if someone can give me some assistance on where to start.

Thanks for your help.

Try using the Advanced tab on the Filter dialog, and choose From in the field
chooser and select "contains" as the condition. Use the value of your
Distribution List name, and also add a second filter for the DL's e-mail
address. If you don't see the Query Builder tab, see:

OL: How to Use the Query Builder for View Filters and Advanced Searches:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/307922

Then you can tie these two filters together with an OR clause.

You don't need to use code to build this view as it wouldn't give you more
functionality than what you can already do with the view builder (and coding
views is very complicated unless you use Outlook 2007).
