Rob Parker

I posted this in the
microsoft.public.access.commandbarsui group yesterday,
but there's been no response so far, so I'll try here.

The Datasheet View Cell menu (I'm using Access 2000) has
a "Filter For" command - it has a text box beside it
into which you can enter criteria eg. "a or b". I want
to create a custom right-click menu for a form with this
command as one of the options, but it doesn't appear in
the list of commands available when I try to customize my
menu. All the other Filter ... commands are available in
the Records category, but not the one I want. I can't
find it in any other category either. Where is it, and
how can I add it to my custom menu?

TIA,

Rob

Hi, Rob.

Try adding the "Filter By Form" command from the "Records" category to your
custom CommandBar. Just drag and drop the "Filter By Form" icon onto your
custom CommandBar.

Sorry. I sent that message too soon. I should have explained that the
command you are looking for isn't in the "Commands" list box in the
"Customize" dialog window, nor is it a filter command that you can call in a
VBA function, so the best you can do with drag and dropping those commands
is to add the "Filter By Form" command to your custom CommandBar.

However, if you'd like an expert consultant to create this custom CommandBar
shortcut menu for you, please contact Q-Built Solutions.
