Hasan

hi,
I am wondering if any one can help me.
I want to make my access form open in the filterbyform
mode.
is it possible to create the form so when ever someone
opens the form its already in Filterbyform mode and the
user either can enter the search criteria or go create a
new record.
Thankyou

Hasan & Allen, Thank you for posting this as I had the same exact issue. However, when I tried the suggestion from Allen, it did not work for me.
I received an error message
The expression On Open you entered as the event property setting produced the following error:
Ambiguous Name Detected
Print_Authorization_Clic
I did not type anything else into the event other than Allen's suggested - RunCommand acCmdFilterByFor
Any suggestions
Thanks

The ambiguous name error is produced when a sub or function name exists in
your code in more than one place. If you keyed or pasted in a suggested
piece of code, it may be that you didn't remove the previous sub (or
function) of the same name.
