Probably a dumb question but I have loads of movies saved
onto CDR's that I have been watching on my computer
monitor screen. Is it possible to view them on a
separate DVD Player connected to my Digital TV? I have
tried using the TV out facility to connect directly
between computer and TV but can only view this way in
black and white for some reason. Any advice would be
much appreciated. Thank you.

Depends on the format the video files on the CDR are in, and the
capabilities of your DVD player. Typically, you would need to burn the
movies os VCD (mpeg1) or SVCD (mpeg2) to be playable in a set top DVD
player, but not all DVD players can read these.
