I don't know if this is the correct newsgroup. Feel free to re-direct me if
necessary.
I have a form that I need to complete, and I would prefer to use a word
processor, since I no longer own a typewriter. I would like to scan the
form into Word, then complete a number of entries, and print the completed
form. Can someone suggest how I might do this?

It isn't a simple procedure, but if this is a one-off, then the quick, dirty
way is as follows.

Scan the document and insert into Word as a background watermark sending it
behind the text. It will be a graphic and uneditable. You need to make sure
it is the same size as the original form by printing a text copy and seeing
that it matches reasonably closely in size and that all elements are in
position.

Then in the document, use floating Text Boxes lined up with each element of
the form that has to be completed. Finally, delete the watermark and print
the document directly onto the blank form. You can save it for reuse at a
future date if required.
