In MS Word 2007, how do you delete the gray shading from text form boxes when
they are used in "Fill-In Forms".

Same way as in previous versions, by turning off the Form Field Shading
button on the Legacy Forms palette.

On the Developer tab of the ribbon, click the Legacy Tools button in the
Controls group, and then click Form Field Shading (under "Legacy Forms").

I have tried that and it doesn't remove the gray from the text form fields
when they are in a form.

Got it!! Thanks very much.

I'm glad you got it sorted. As you have noticed, the "Field shading" option
in the Word Options dialog box only applies to "non-form" fields.

Yes....that's why I was having trouble get rid of the gray in the form. I was
using the "Word Options" box and nothing was happen to the form.

Since this is exactly the same thing Stefan told you, which you claimed did
work, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
