Does the file system watcher have a why to tell if a file or directory is
created.

Hi Jerry,

The FileSystemWatch will only notify you a new item is created in its
Created event, it will not tell you it's a file or directory. However, it's
easy to using other method to determine the path is a file or directory:

void fsw_Created(object sender, FileSystemEventArgs e)
{
if (System.IO.File.Exists(e.FullPath))
{
MessageBox.Show(string.Format("A new file {0} is created.",
e.FullPath));
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show(string.Format("A new directory {0} is
created.", e.FullPath));
}

}

Please let me know whether or not this answers your question. Thanks.

Sincerely,
