Files transfering from host

Not all the files and information are there when I download them to front
page. The body of the web site is all there pictures everything but the
information that I imputed into it every week to keep it updated is not
there. It says it can connect to my web site for that information. Any idea
what I could be doing wrong and if not because I am not proficiant in this is
there someone that I could call and have them walk me threw things. I need
to make my changes on my web site and can't. I will pay to talk to someone.

Download them from where to FrontPage? Or do you mean publishing or
uploading from FrontPage to your remote web site?

Yes I dowloaded them from my server to Frontpage. or uploading what ever is
the term. I really need to talk to someone to walk me threw this. Am willing
to pay I own a real estate office and can't change information because I
can't get to it.
 
You can't get into what...FP or your office?

Now give us the URL to your website.

Uploading means publishing up to the server, downloading means down to your
machine.

Are you working (making changes) to your web locally (on your machine)?

How (exactly) are you opening your website up for editing?

Let's start there.

Now...STICK TO ONE THREAD PLEASE ! Don't keep opening up new threads for
discussion.

Sorry that computer illiterate that I couldn't figure out how to email back.
Ok 1. I can open my front page from my computer. But it will not let me
open up files. my web site is (if tht is what a url is..
WWW.westmichiganrealestate.com
You will see that I am a realtor. from my web site go to find a property,
then home listings. this is the information that I can't get to on front
page to change. I could on my other computer but not this one. Not sure if
my vista is causing problems or what it is.

ok, kinda looks like that stuff is coming out of a database...so...describe
how you were putting them in there with your machine that worked.





yes the url is the address to your website.
btw...this is NOT email. we are actually on Usenet (nntp) but you are
probably seeing us through a clunky web interface.

Not sure I should comment here, as I am a beginner also - trying to learn
here by reading. However, watching with interest as I live in GR! <G>
However, wondering if on the other computer you were opening the site live
and making changes BUT on this computer you are opening local files,
changing them but not publishing?
Just a thought from a beginner.......
