I have been looking for backup software that monitors file and folder
activity. I often rename folders with data. This is a nightmare for
synchronization utilities, because they are dumb and delete the entire
contents of the folder in the backup, then copy over the new folder and
same contents from the original.

Does <insert software name (ISN)> have a file operations monitoring
utility that enables intelligent synchronization? For example, if I
rename a folder while <ISN> monitors, what does <ISN> do when backing up
files? Does it copy the renamed folder and all of its contents, then
delete the original folder, or, does it just rename the folder in the
backup location?

ps. I've learned enough about RAID mirroring to know that it is not
worth it for the average home user.
