files seen in scan not bicked up as spyware

As I am running the program I can pick out a lot of files
like TROJAN ??? or dialer??? or some thing to that effect
but these are not picked up as spyware. I have one that
comes to mind called 'wwwcool.???' that I have been trying
to remove for several weeks now but it persists also one
called 'gain.gator', there are many more but they won't
get picked up by the scans i've done. Is there anything I
can do???

Your Antivirus solution is more likely to find it that AntiSpyware, I would
recommend updating your Norton Antivirus Definitions, restart in safe mode
and run a scan with it. Remember to disable system restore before enter safe
mode. Right click My Computer > Properties > check "Turn Off System Restore
OK. Restart the system in to safe mode. The reason why I recommend

off system restore, sometimes viruses and trojans can restore themselves
through system snapshots.

I would also recommend doing the same with MSAS in safe mode, on the scan
page, choose scan options > Full system scan.
