I made a CD from an iso file. It is booable and works o.k. but
when I use Explorer to view it only shows 2 small files.
Under folder options...I have enabled view hidden files and
view system files.
What do you have to do to see all files on a bootable CD?

Hi

Do the files show up in the program you used to create the CD?

Don't know why, but same for me. I have a boot disk that works but the files
don't show up in Explorer even Show System files selected. Try using cmd >
dir command to view files

Hi

Do the files show up in the program you used to create the CD?

I used Nero 7 to burn the image file to CD. It was just one iso file
so that's all that showed in Nero.
I know there are more files on the disk because the
only 2 files that show are both .txt files and, as I said,
the disk does boot and seems to work.
What files should be on a disk to make it bootable?

Thanks.

To add to that, I have WinRar, and I can view the contents of Iso files in
it. But the disk will not become bootable if you just extract the files and
put them on disk.

| Hi
|
| If you've still got the original ISO file you can see all the files in
that.
| Use IsoBuster, UltraIso or similar program to view the files:

Hi

Agreed - the CD has to be 'created' in the appropriate way - but just
viewing the files via the original ISO file is different.

I assume the bootable disc has to have some files from Microsoft
like command.com to boot into WindowsXP but where are they?
On a bootable floppy or hard drive you can see them when
you view hidden files.
