Have you installed any kind of virus protection software or anything else
recently? If so, try disabling the software and rebuild your run-time.
I've heard that some virus protection software sometimes prevents access to
the component database.
Thats strange .However Fortunately or Unfortunately there are no
Software for Antivirus installed.
Are you running the tools on the same system as the server, or are you
running them remotely? You may just want to try using the tools on the same
system as the server to see if it's just a tools issue. Maybe you can just
reinstall the tools on your client?
Well both are on the same machine as server. No remote access is
done on this database .Would reinstallation of the tools in the local
machine would be of some help ?
Also, check in explorer that you have the correct read/write permissions to
the component database (I'm sure you've done this) and check in Component DB
Manager that all of your repositories show up under the "repositories" tab.
You said it.Its all there how it should be.All the Repository paths
did show up when I checked for them.Presently Im not tampering
anything on the machine but have put up another machine with all these
database transferred to the new one and modifying the new as the
old. This does take a lot of time as there are a lot of components to
upgrade.
I'm trying to understand what created this problem with this server
while the new setup would continue my present tasks and deliveribles.
Thanks.
