Edwin

I had 2 sign in screens, 2 different users. When i
requested to delete the custom desk tops I lost files
(word, btmp, jpg, music, etc. I know they are there but I
can't find them to set them up again in my documents. I
know this is basic, but beyond me.
Thanks for any help!

Edwin,

I'm not sure I understand but let me take a crack at it anyway. It sounds like you had two different user accounts you were
logging into the system with and you have since removed one of them. After removing one of the accounts you now are
missing all of the files you had in My Documents for that user. Am I close to the issue you're trying to describe?

If I understood correctly, the My Documents folder for each user is stored under their profile folder. If we still have the profile
folder for the account you removed we should be able to recover the documents but if we no longer have that profile folder
then the documents are gone.

Assuming this is Windows 2000 or XP and it is installed on the C: drive, look in C:\Documents and Settings\<profile>, where
<profile> is the name of the account you removed. If this folder exists then we can access the My Documents sub-folder
under, we'll need Administrator rights to do this.
