Files not deleted after formatting

Friends,
Here is the following situation
Computer:Dell Dimension
File System:NTFS
Used Space:131 GB
Free Space:17.2 GB

Capacity:149 GB

Drive C

These are stats after formatting.There is a folder called A which was
created before the formatting.I can see this folder A but cannot delete
it.It gives the following error.
"Access Denied"

Please help us to solve this problem.

It is most likely the Dell recovery partition.. leave it alone..

Thanks for the reply.Dont you think its uncommon that 131 GB is used
for Dell recovery .
Its the file space which was occupied by my files before i formatted.I
forgot to delete them.

You've got two threads going. Multiple posting like this is not good; it
