Files missing when upgrading from XP Home to XP Pro

When I try to upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro, the installation program
complains about a missing file during the file copy phase. If I chose to
ignore the problem, the reboot fails.

Really interesting is that it's not the same file that's missing at each
try. I've tried four times now and the installation program complained about
different files each time.

Files so far: alz9lqhj.sys, aoyoik1.sys, aw79zmq6.sys, and apeka5wt.sys.

Dynamic upgrader or not doesn't matter...

Here are three possibilities; bad CD, bad CD drive or data cable, bad RAM.

The usual troubleshooting procedure is to swap out the suspect hardware items
for known good ones. In the case of RAM, if there are two chips, take one out
and see if the install proceeds. If it fails, put the chip you removed back in
and take out the suspect one. Try the install again.

Good luck

The only thing I can't verify is the CD (I've got no other maskin
to try it on), but the hardware passes all the diagnostics I
throw at it.

The upgrade gives me the option to do a clean installation,
does anyone know if that procedure can be interupted
before any destructive actions?

Yeah I also have the same problem. I believe mine is ansmbjh2.sys or
something like that...
