Files Menu - history list

Is there any way to reduce the number of file names listed in the Files drop down menu history list. Or better yet, is ther any way to eliminate it all together?

Open IE (Internet Explorer)/tools/internet option
Change History days to keep to zero (0) for NO history.
Also click Clear History button
Click Apply and OK.

That's not what you is referring to. This would be in WMP (Hint's the
"Music" group.)

Tools>>Options>>Privacy>>History

launch wmp, then open tools/options dialog and click on the privacy tab.

here you can both clear the history, or disable it altogether.

I have tools/options but no dialog or privacy box or tab??
I'm using WMP 8.0
