I have a computer at home used by many users. As
administrator, I changed the status of a user go guest,
but then decided to give Administrator status to him.
However, accidently I changed the status to Backup
Operator. I realized this mistake and changed the status
to Administrator. But all files are lost. Only the folders
I had shared are still there but desktop icons, and
folders in My Documents and on the Desktop are all gone.
Can I get them back? And if yes, how? Your help is greatly
appreciated.

Have a good look in "c:\Documents and Settings". After you
have found the files, review your backup strategy. You should
never allow a situation to occur where important files exist
on your PC only - you must back them up every week.
