I installed nero media player on my system and then uninstalled it because i did not like it, but it has renamed some of my filas and i don't know to fix them. aif, dat, cda, mid midi,mp3,rmi,vqf,wav,wave,wma files are the ones that have been changed.any help ???????

Do you mean that the files' names are different now -like song1.wav is now
sldkj.wav?

Or do you mean that the association of the files to a particular program to
play them is changed - when you double click a music file Windows now does
not know what program to use?
In this case, using Windows Media Player as an example, go to its Tools
menu, select Options, on the File Types tab check the types of files you
want that player to be the default for. There should be similar steps for
any other media player you use.

Hi,

LIkely the files have not been changed, only the icons used to portray
them; if you want the files to be seen as they were before, go to the
program you use to play the files and see if there is a tab where you
associate the program with the files.

For example in Windows Media Player 9: Tools > Options > File Types.

When you do this the files will have the icons corresponding to that
program.

Hope this helps.
