Files from DOS HD

I have a DOS HD formatted with FAT and I need to get some files off of it.

I attempted to add it to a system where I have Win2000.

The BIOS recognizes it and the Disk Manager see it, but I can access it in
Win explorer and the system slows WAY down.

Any ideas on how to get some files off of it?

Thought I could just copy them to my C drive.

Thanks.

You'll need to assign it a drive letter first.
Start|Run|diskmgmt.msc
