Files fails to open after SP1 install

after installing OFFICE 2007 SP1 I double click an existing excel file.
Excel opens, but the file data is missing. Excel onle opens as a new
worksheet.

If I leave Excel running and double click the data file again, now the file
data appears fine.
 
Ckick the round button, select Excel Options, select the Advanced option,
scroll all the way down to the general group, and untick the option that
reads Ignore Other Applications that use ........
 
Thank you Kassie, but the box for "Ignore Other applications that use Dynamic
Data Exchange (DDE)" was already unchecked. I checked it and tried that,
still didn't help. So I unchecked it again, still nothing.

Any other ideas?
