For some reason, whenever I try to open a file via a link
on a web page (usually it's a video or WAV file or
something), the file seems to download fine, but the
application that is spawned to play the file cannot find
it.
The only way around this I have found is right clicking
and saving the file in a known location--THEN it shows
up, and I can open it manually. But if I just let the
browser download it and kick off the app for me, the file
isn't there.
This happens if I try to open a file via a link in an
email message, too, so some shared DLL somewhere is
definitely hosed.
What's going on? Thx.
