I am not able to see my files in the Recycle Bin when I
open it. How do I resolve this problem???

There are certain instances when files which you delete do not get put in
the recycle bin,
2 which come to mind are.

1. The file is too big to fit but in this situation you normally get a
message asking if you want to completely remove it.

2. The file you have deleted is on a network share. In this instance the
file is just removed, no prompt, no nothing. I don't why, you'd think you'd
at least get a warning.

I have noted times however when I have hundreds of items in the bin, but I
can't view them in the Recycle Bin directly - Explorer just shows the
flashlight forever. I can however see delted files if I run a search for
particular files.

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.

I have seen this occur when there is an "issue" with one of the files. Just
as I have seen this when trying to burn music CD's. One song will lock the
process - every time. Yet, the song can be played with media player.

Also, if the original CD with this song was left in the CD tray during boot,
the computer wouldn't - ever!!! It would be stuck in the bios screen for
hours!

My intuition would be an "issue" with the metadata handler of some media
files. Windows already does a bad job of handling lots of large media files
in regular folders - I had to kill the registry key for one such handler to
stop thrashing in folders with more than a dozen or so large video files.

I thought of a number 3

If you right click on recycle bin on the desktop and click properties
Is Remove files immediately selected ?
