Hello!

I had to reload the CEO's laptop and used the Files and Settings transfer
wizard - it brought everything over except the Outlook Express stuff
(Messages and Address Book). I chose the Files & Settings in the wizard.
What am I doing wrong? I did not find anything on support.microsoft.com

Thanks in advance!
Mike

Hello,

To resolve the issue, please obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP
and then try again.

Vivien,

Thanks for the response! The latest SP (1) was installed along with all the
updates to the OS. The OE data was wiped off the drive so all of the info
is in the .dat file that the wizard creates. I will check out the id
articles.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello,

Please restore the data to another computer. Does it work?

You can refer to the article below to check the Files and Settings Transfer
Wizard.

312965 How to Troubleshoot Issues with the Files and Settings Transfer
Wizard
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=312965

If you still cannot get the OE data, please try to extract files manually
from a Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (FSTW) store. I have sent the
related information to your email (e-mail address removed). Please check it.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
