S
sobriquet
Hi.
I don't know if this applies to windows vista as well as windows 7,
but in a dutch version of windows 7,
windows automatically seems to translate filenames from english to
dutch. This results in weird effects, for
instance, two files apparently having the same filename in the same
folder. When examining the file properties, it seems
that there is a difference between the objectname and the filename. Is
there any way to turn this 'feature' off, because I find
it extremely annoying and confusing?
I'd like to see the actual filenames (I guess that would be the
objectnames in windows terminology), not some kind of
alias that windows makes up behind the scenes to translate filenames
from english to dutch.
greetings and kind regards for any feedback, Niek
