On about 1/6th of the files on my comp, the actual font
of the filename has turned blue... I used norton to do a
scan and it says i dont have a virus... im just wondering
why this is happening.. i mean if its not a virus than
what is it??...

Greetings

Any file that has blue text is compressed in order to save hard drive space.

By design, WinXP compresses files that do not get used frequently,
and, if you've left the default settings intact, displays those files
in blue.

In Windows Explorer, Tools > Folder Options > View > Advanced
settings: Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color.
