Hi,

Someone sent me a file that has the extension .php.

Now, I know for a fact that it isn't the usual PHP file (ie. web format). I
thought it might be Publisher, but it isn't, and I can't open it in Works.

Does anyone know what program might have created it?
Thanks.
Nath.

hey,
A really helpful website i found is http://filext.com .
you can go there and in the search box type php.
I looked it up and there are about 4 different things that use .php
extensions.
Check it out,
Aaron

Great, thanks Aaron.

Really wierd, my twin brothers' name is Aaron (*twilight zone music*)....

It could be anything, but it might be a PHP programming language file
(source code). PHP is not something you'll recognized as "web format".
It's a programming language used inside of HTML. Unless you have PHP
on your machine, you won't be able to execute it. See www.php.net for
more info in case interested.

However, it could be anything. Extensions can be applied to anything.
It might be Paul Howard Porter's word document.

If you are concerned, contact the person who sent you the file.

If is also a file extension used by Microsoft Home Publishing {not
Publisher}. If someone sent you a Home Publishing file, you can open it
Home Publishing or recent versions of Microsoft Picture It.
