In prior versions of Windows, the properties dialog for
any file would have a "Version" tab with all the file version
information listed as long as the file included version info.
Now, in Vista, version information is on a "Details" tab
page, and only if the file extension is EXE, DLL, SYS or
OCX (afaik).
This is really annoying. There are lots of other files with
version information (BPL, various plugins for apps with
custom extensions that are actually dlls, etc.) that can no
longer be easily viewed in Vista.
Any good reason for this? Or just one more "Annoying
things about Vista" to add to the list?
